| This is an original Shop manual with 180 pages. This turned up at an estate auction here in Flint in April 2006 and probably came out of the Buick factory when it was closed in 1999. This manual is in good condition but for the cover being loose from the binding, tho complete.
The Buick factory was begun to be built on Flint's near-north side in 1905-1906. Flint is the birthplace of Buick, AC Spark Plug, Chevrolet, the Dort, Mason, Republic Truck, and several other nameplates.
Now however, most industry has moved to other countries and the old plants torn down. This story has been repeated across America. The owner of this business himself retired from the old AC Spark Plug back in the 90's. |
