| This is a nice FACTORY ORIGINAL owners manual. WITH the original envelope that's not in the picture.
This turned up at an estate auction here in Flint and probably came out of the Buick factory when it was closed in 1999. This manual isn't mint, showing shelf-wear around the edges (plus see special note below), but is easily very good to excellent!
This one got the binding area wet and lightly stained into the pages, however, there are no stuck pages and no mildew or odor.
The Buick factory was begun to be built on Flint's near-north side in 1905-1906. Flint is the birthplace of Buick, AC Spark Plug, Chevrolet, the Dort, Mason, Republic Truck, and several other nameplates.
Now however, most industry has moved to other countries and the old plants torn down. This story has been repeated across America. The owner of this business himself retired from the old AC Spark Plug back in the 90's. |
